Terms of Service

Last updated: September 8, 2026

These Terms explain the conditions for using Bibleolive. Please also read our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle personal data.

Apple app license

For the iOS app, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement governs your license to use the app. These Service Terms govern the Bibleolive services and do not replace the Apple Standard EULA. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA)

1. Eligibility and acceptance

These Terms govern your use of Bibleolive and form an agreement between you and Lin Xin, operating under the Bibleolive brand. “Bibleolive”, “we”, and “us” refer to that service operator.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you are below the age of legal consent where you live, a parent or guardian must approve your use. If you use Bibleolive for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

2. Guest and registered accounts

You may begin with a guest profile identified by a random installation credential. A guest profile is still an app account and may hold progress or a subscription, but recovery can be limited if you lose the device before binding it to Apple or Google. Keep your device and account credentials secure and do not transfer access to another person.

You are responsible for accurate information and activity under your account. Tell us promptly about suspected misuse. Deleting an account removes service data under the Privacy Policy but does not by itself cancel a store subscription.

3. Purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions

On iOS, subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Before confirmation, the store shows the applicable price, billing period, taxes, and offer eligibility. No free trial is promised unless the store offers one to you. If offered, its duration and the price after the trial are shown before purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple before the applicable renewal deadline. Renewal charges may occur within 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Use Restore Purchases to recover an eligible subscription. Apple handles billing and refund requests under its rules; contact xin71990@gmail.com for access or entitlement problems. These arrangements do not limit any mandatory consumer rights or remedies. Deleting the app or your Bibleolive account does not cancel a subscription.

4. Service scope

Bibleolive provides Scripture reading, rights-cleared audio where available, curated devotional material, prayer tools, reading plans, progress features, and related support. Features and content may vary by language, storefront, territory, account type, or subscription.

The first public release does not provide third-party generative-AI features or consumable AI credits. We will not describe a feature as available until it is enabled and supported in the released service.

5. Content and intellectual property

Bibleolive’s software, design, editorial material, and recordings may be protected by copyright or other rights. Scripture text, translations, and recordings can have different rights holders and licenses; consult the notices for the specific content.

We grant a limited license to use the app for personal, non-commercial devotional purposes. You may use the in-app sharing feature subject to the rights applicable to the shared material. Do not redistribute protected recordings or other protected material beyond the permissions provided by the relevant license or law.

We do not claim exclusive copyright over public-domain Scripture text, and these Terms do not remove rights you independently have in that text. Public-domain status of the text does not automatically apply to a recording, image, or design. Report a rights concern to xin71990@gmail.com, identifying the material, its location, your claimed rights, and how we can contact you.

6. Your information and sharing

You retain any rights you have in support messages or other information you submit. You authorize processing only as needed to provide the requested service, support, security, and legally required recordkeeping. Version 1.0 does not offer public user posts, AI chat, or creation of personal prayers or mood entries.

When you export data or share a verse image, you choose the recipient. Third-party apps and services have their own terms and privacy policies. Do not share another person’s confidential information without authority.

7. Acceptable use

  • Do not break the law, infringe rights, harass others, or distribute harmful or deceptive material through the service.
  • Do not bypass entitlement, security, rate-limit, territorial, or content-rights controls.
  • Do not reverse engineer where prohibited, probe credentials, automate bulk extraction, interfere with operation, or use the service to develop a competing content repository.
  • Do not share, resell, or fraudulently obtain subscriptions or purchase credentials.

8. Religious and professional-information disclaimer

Bibleolive supports personal devotional practice. It does not replace clergy, community, emergency services, medical or mental-health care, legal advice, or other professional help. Scripture references and editorial material may contain errors or reflect a broad Christian perspective; evaluate them according to your tradition and circumstances. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

9. Availability, suspension, and termination

We may maintain, change, restrict, or discontinue features or content for security, legal, licensing, or operational reasons. We may suspend access for material breach, fraud, risk to users or the service, or a valid legal requirement. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and a way to appeal. You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time.

10. Warranties and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable consumer law does not allow us to limit. For other claims, neither party is responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Changes, disputes, and contact

We will provide notice of material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove rights already granted by mandatory law. Where a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, it applies only to the extent permitted, without invalidating the remaining provisions.

Contact xin71990@gmail.com about a dispute so that we can try to resolve it. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer protections or prevents you from bringing a claim before a court or authority with jurisdiction under applicable law.
